We are currently seeking a Manager, BI / Ad Ops for our office in downtown Toronto or Mile X Montreal. Our BI/ Ad ops team is the hub of all campaigns. The protocols put in place for the collection, trafficking, and reporting on campaign details are what holds the media accountable to business objectives. The team is responsible for the quality of data and collaborates with our Media Design Teams on the analysis of the results. Media Experts IPG is at the cutting edge of BI/ Ad Ops and enjoys the resources and tools made available through our Global family at IPG Mediabrands.

The role of Manager, BI / Ad Ops will lead the team in executional excellence and in-depth digital media platform knowledge. The Manager will show vision for data collection, analysis and visualization. The Manager is responsible for troubleshooting and finding solutions in the fields of adserving, tag management and strategy, dashboard and digital media platforms, and audience segmentation and building.

Media Experts is looking for highly organized and detail-oriented applicants, who demonstrates leadership and has the technical background to teach and mentor a team of 6 or more Ad Ops Specialists.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Traffic campaigns across multiple digital marketing;
  • Be actively involved in deployment of ad tech tools & Ad Ops processes;
  • Ensure data flow between DMP, DSP, Adserver, and additional tools;
  • Work with cross-functional teams to determine Ad Ops processes and appropriate naming conventions;
  • QA adherence to naming conventions for all digital marketing activities;
  • Recommend and implement tagging across owned and operated properties;
  • Work with vendors to ensure tracking needs are met;
  • Be the point person for any tracking issues and troubleshooting tags;
  • Work closely with Media Design teams, Special Business Units and Vendors;
  • Stay current with vendor offerings and vet/recommend changes and upgrades to existing tech stack.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in marketing, administration or bachelor in maths, computer science or similar;
  • 3-6 years of experience implementing and managing ad tech team members;
  • In-depth familiarity with ad-servers, DMPs, DSPs, and the digital media ecosystem in general;
  • Proven track-record of implementing and successfully interconnecting ad-tech;
  • Experience with ad trafficking (display, mobile, & video) across multiple platforms;
  • Familiarity with tag management systems;
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and time efficient;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required;
  • Experience working with remote teams an asset;
  • Available to travel between Montreal and Toronto as needed as the team is spread across both of these offices.

Digital Media Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Digital Media Supervisor for our office in downtown Toronto.

The Supervisor, Digital Media Systems is expected to play a pivotal role within both the broader Digital Media team and the account service and strategy groups.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Create digital strategy in close collaboration with Media Experts’ Media Systems Teams and our Digital Directors.
  • Understand Buyer and Support staff responsibilities in order to help them to efficiently manage their time and workload.
  • Ongoing training for Buyers and Support staff not only to help them fulfil their tasks but also to ensure they remain current in their product knowledge and skill sets.
  • Use of Digital Research Tools such as Comscore as well as market trends and industry best practices to guide both buying and strategy.
  • The person that best suits this Supervisory role will have a passion for deep-diving into data and using analytics to prove their recommendations.

The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree or College Equivalent and 3+ years of Digital Media Experience.

Senior Media Planner

Job Functions:

  • Work with Account Directors to ensure superior work and fulfillment of: research, customer presentations, internal campaign briefings, facilitating brainstorming sessions, negotiations, Pre/Post buy reporting, and POVs
  • Implement Media Experts exemplary care to customer servicing and administrative standards
  • Project management to ensure all deadlines are met – through managing day to day planning responsibilities on assigned accounts
  • Foster relationships with industry partners (media vendors, creative agencies, research providers) and internal teams
  • Aid in the supervision and training of junior staff
  • Assist in leading and inspiring internal teams

Core responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting customer and creative campaign briefings
  • Provide research & development to Media Experts Tradigital plans and recommendations
  • Planning media that goes beyond the conventional flow chart, recognizing all forms of paid, owned and earned media.
  • Provide strategy development for campaigns
  • Gathers, organizes and presents competitive research and spending data.
  • Negotiating of all media opportunities
  • Presentation of media plans and recommendations to customers
  • Staying abreast of latest advertising industry trends, and research with a focus to North America through article reading, webinars, and industry events.

Candidates will demonstrate successful experience

  • Ability to interpret data and develop insights
  • Deliver creativity in planning & to presentation
  • High energy level, and willingness to do “whatever it takes”.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 to 4 years of media planning experience. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience working on National accounts
  • Knowledge of the range of media vehicles and formats available to advertisers
  • Clear understanding of the key attributes to all media available
  • Clear understanding of the fundamentals of media buying across all platforms
  • Highly proficient with diverse Media Research Tools  and Microsoft office software: MS Word, MS Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of SEM, and Social Media is an asset
