We are actively seeking for dynamic, best-in-class talent to join the Society team as Associate in our Paid Social team. As Associate, you will assist in the day-to-day stewarding of both account and media activity on assigned campaigns for our clients and help take social media strategy, planning and execution to the next level. This entry-level opportunity will kick-start your career in digital media and provide a platform to partner with the world’s leading consumer brands.

 Essential Functions

  • Work closely with Specialists & Team Leads on the development, implementation and optimization of social media campaigns.
  • Use research tools to help develop profile of target audiences with view into their social/online behaviors, media consumption, etc.
  • Help generate contracts, setup, launch, monitor, optimize, reconcile and bill campaigns to ensure that client receives all planned media and is invoiced properly.
  • Maintain detailed files of all pertinent records (media plans, performance reports, creative, contracts, reports, etc.) relevant to clients’ business with SOCIETY.
  • Help pull data for reports and prepare meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Learn all about paid social capabilities including platforms, technologies, and targeting options within SOCIETY to help teams find best in class solutions for our clients. 

Requirements: 

  • Post-secondary certificate or degree with preference for Media and/or Marketing specialization or similar achievement.
  • Thrives under pressure and performs well in a in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • A passion for social media and an eagerness to learn. Active user / participant in social media is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and French (French not required in Toronto).  In Montreal, a French interview and essay/test will be a pre-requisite for consideration.
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers.
  • Excellent quantitative/analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team

We are actively seeking for dynamic, best-in-class talent to join the SOCIETY team as Senior Specialist in our Social Media team in Montreal AND Toronto. As Senior Specialist, you will steward both account, process, and media activity on assigned campaigns for our clients and help take social media strategy, planning, and execution to the next level. Essential Functions

  • Work with agency teams and clients directly to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Operate as a key point of contact for agency planning teams and clients as required.
  • Help implement and enforce all internal processes.
  • Perform first level quality control of all department outputs including campaign setups, launches, optimizations, contracts, reports, forecasts, billing, specs, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, optimize and report on paid & organic social media campaigns.
  • Monitor, optimize and report on goals and KPIs for a portfolio of clients to ensure top performance, flawless execution, and on time, full delivery of social media campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of contracts, budgets, ad specs & campaign objectives.
  • Generate reports, prepare and present meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Educate juniors, agency and clients on best practices and campaign objective requirements.
  • Support Supervisors with ongoing client and staff management.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference for Media and/or Marketing specialization.
  • 2-3 years of paid social media experience, preferably with other agencies.
  • Proven track record managing paid social campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat or any paid social management platforms.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on data.
  • Outstanding client service, listening, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience of ad targeting and tagging methodologies.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze and solve problems and clearly communicate results.
  • Fluent written and spoken French required for the Montreal office. French interview and test required for consideration.
  • Ability to multi-task, process-oriented, excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.

Digital Media Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Digital Media Supervisor for our office in downtown Toronto.

The Supervisor, Digital Media Systems is expected to play a pivotal role within both the broader Digital Media team and the account service and strategy groups.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Create digital strategy in close collaboration with Media Experts’ Media Systems Teams and our Digital Directors.
  • Understand Buyer and Support staff responsibilities in order to help them to efficiently manage their time and workload.
  • Ongoing training for Buyers and Support staff not only to help them fulfil their tasks but also to ensure they remain current in their product knowledge and skill sets.
  • Use of Digital Research Tools such as Comscore as well as market trends and industry best practices to guide both buying and strategy.
  • The person that best suits this Supervisory role will have a passion for deep-diving into data and using analytics to prove their recommendations.

The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree or College Equivalent and 3+ years of Digital Media Experience.

Senior Media Planner

Job Functions:

  • Work with Account Directors to ensure superior work and fulfillment of: research, customer presentations, internal campaign briefings, facilitating brainstorming sessions, negotiations, Pre/Post buy reporting, and POVs
  • Implement Media Experts exemplary care to customer servicing and administrative standards
  • Project management to ensure all deadlines are met – through managing day to day planning responsibilities on assigned accounts
  • Foster relationships with industry partners (media vendors, creative agencies, research providers) and internal teams
  • Aid in the supervision and training of junior staff
  • Assist in leading and inspiring internal teams

Core responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting customer and creative campaign briefings
  • Provide research & development to Media Experts Tradigital plans and recommendations
  • Planning media that goes beyond the conventional flow chart, recognizing all forms of paid, owned and earned media.
  • Provide strategy development for campaigns
  • Gathers, organizes and presents competitive research and spending data.
  • Negotiating of all media opportunities
  • Presentation of media plans and recommendations to customers
  • Staying abreast of latest advertising industry trends, and research with a focus to North America through article reading, webinars, and industry events.

Candidates will demonstrate successful experience

  • Ability to interpret data and develop insights
  • Deliver creativity in planning & to presentation
  • High energy level, and willingness to do “whatever it takes”.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 to 4 years of media planning experience. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience working on National accounts
  • Knowledge of the range of media vehicles and formats available to advertisers
  • Clear understanding of the key attributes to all media available
  • Clear understanding of the fundamentals of media buying across all platforms
  • Highly proficient with diverse Media Research Tools  and Microsoft office software: MS Word, MS Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of SEM, and Social Media is an asset
