Bell Let’s Talk: 10 Years Strong

This year marked the 10th anniversary of Bell’s nationwide awareness campaign, Bell Let’s Talk. That’s 10 years of uniting Canadians to fight the stigma of mental health. Media Experts is proud to have serve as Bell’s media partner on this campaign since Day One, driving impactful change and meaningful conversations from coast to coast, person to person.

The beauty of this campaign? It’s working. A Bell Let’s Talk survey conducted from 2010 to 2019 saw 86% of Canadians report that they are more aware of mental health issues since Bell Let’s Talk began, and a Nielsen survey in 2018 indicates that 70% of Canadians believe that attitudes about mental health have changed for the better.

This annual campaign has experienced bigger, better, and quantifiable results year after year, and 2020 was no different. Bell Let’s Talk Day sets a new record with 154,387,425 messages of support for mental health, and $7,719,371.25 more Bell funding for Canadian mental health, representing a 6.2% increase in interactions from 2019.

As this tentpole campaign continues to grow, so does our dedication to fighting the stigma surrounding mental health by employing new media strategies that break through with impact.
