Senior Analyst, Search Marketing

Position Summary

Location: Open to Candidates from Quebec and New Brunswick

We are actively seeking a Senior Analyst, Search Marketing Systems (PPC). The ideal candidate will become an integral member of our Digital Media Systems team while also working closely with our customers and account teams.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Help in leading and mentoring junior SEM Analysts & Coordinators.
  • Provide thought leadership and driving strategy for some of Canada’s top SEM accounts Perform ouput quality control (reports, post analyses, campaign setups, etc.).
  • Monitor campaign budgets being managed by junior members to respect deadlines.
  • Develop, implement, manage and optimize Pay per Click (PPC) campaigns for various customers across a variety of online publishers including Google and Bing Ads.
  • Conduct keyword research, analysis, bucketing, and matching in order to develop quality keyword lists for both PPC and SEO purposes.
  • Create promotional text ads for use with a variety of campaigns across different publishers and develop ad testing programs.
  • Report on PPC campaign performance through the use of Web Analytics Software, Bid Management Platforms, Excel, Power Point and proprietary or 3rd party reporting tools.
  •  Help to develop, implement, analyze and communicate on PPC and SEO synergies.
  •  Participate in campaign briefings, meetings, presentations, and reporting calls.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in the Search Marketing industry in North America through constant research, article reading, webinars, and industry events.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Search Marketing (PPC).
  • Minimum 2 years of client service and/or customer management experience in an agency environment.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, supervising, and coaching small teams.
  • Proven success in managing, optimizing, and reporting on PPC campaigns.
  • Ability to integrate and synergize PPC and SEO campaigns for maximum impact.
  • Solid understanding of how other media activities affect PPC, SEO and Paid Social campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills to generate actionable insights from data interpretation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Google Analytics, and Adobe Site Catalyst.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Experience with DoubleClick Search, Adobe Marketing Cloud, and DCM is an asset.
  • Google AdWords Advanced and BING Ads Certification required. Knowledge and experience in Paid Social Media Marketing is an asset.
  • Experience with A/B and/or Multivariate testing concepts is an asset. (Required if Senior)

We are actively seeking a bilingual Senior Analyst, Search Marketing Systems (SEO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining / shaping our SEO service and executing client servicing and technical SEO deliverables. Their goal is to provide best in class SEO expertise and recommendations that drive organic performance.

You don’t write code (although if you do, great!), but you can make sense of CSS and HTML and can communicate to developers in a language they understand.

You can speak to and make recommendations concerning page speed optimization, structured data implementation, information architecture, and semantically optimize content and internal linking. You know everything about all aspects of a website that impact SEO and what you don’t know you can figure out very quickly.

More than anything, you want to *grow*. You’re ready to take inventory of what SEO “looks like” currently for our clients and adapt based on what produces the highest ROI. You’re ready to start moving away from the technical weeds and start growing your skill set in team management and mentoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop best in class deliverables/reporting to clients, from available technology platforms and services. Be an expert in SEO capabilities, ability to find best in class solutions for the clients and being up-to-date with the upcoming tools/tech solutions that would work for their overall digital media strategy.
  • Ensure consistency of SEO recommendations and objectives. Pull reports, prepare meaningful insights and recommendations and communicate these effectively in presentations.
  • Monitor the goals and KPI’s for a portfolio of clients to ensure on-time and complete delivery of recommendations.
  • Oversee the execution of the SEO strategy – regularly evaluate performance, proactively optimize, provide post reports and ensure flawless setup and digital activation.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bi-lingualism is a *must*. Excellent French language skills, both written and spoken are required. Moderate-to-good English.
  • Post-secondary education – University graduate and/or advertising/marketing College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in SEO.
  • Proficient with various platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.) Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge and insights gained from research resources.
  • Passion for data, emerging media and technology. Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development. Client service oriented.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist on all administrative functions of the Search Marketing department.
  • These may include proof of purchase reports, reconciling campaigns, media purchase authorizations, budget pacing reports and more.
  • Help Analysts (PPC and SEO) with keyword research, creative writing, ad copy testing, day-to-day management of pay per click campaigns, optimization implementations, data analysis, reporting, power point presentations, local listings management, other media integration and more.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • DEC with a Marketing Option, Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Administration, Statistics, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with an innate ability to think outside the box.

  • Help oversee SEM planning, buying and operational needs, according to the Media Experts processes 
  • Effectively communicate Search Marketing offering, strategy, KPIs, standards and performance optimization for Media Experts customers. 
  • Demonstrating, articulating, and “selling through” plans and strategic recommendations. 
  • Development of ongoing business relationships from the prospect stage through existing account management

Supervisor, Media Planning

Position Summary
The role of a Media Planning Supervisor is to manage our media planning product through preparing and presenting media plans, proposals, and analysis. The Media Planning Supervisor is also responsible for training and mentoring junior employees. This role requires you to work as part of an integrated media planning team to ensure the product is grounded in insights and experience, resulting in flawless media executions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, writing and presentation of integrated media plans, proposals and analysis that satisfy client objectives and go beyond the brief.
  • Confidently and effectively communicate with the leadership team to address needs of the account (e.g. ensure campaigns launch according to plan, address questions quickly with appropriate client communication, flag concerns, etc.).
  • Proactively prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities, media trends and issues of interest to clients.
  • Ensure that all media plans adhere to the agency’s values, philosophies and processes.
  • Maintain the media plan and regularly evaluate the campaign performance. Effectively manage ongoing client expectations in regards to work back schedule, and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and respectful partner relationships.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the buy.
  • Oversee team members in preparing and maintaining accurate and client finance reports and budget control reporting (BCRs).
  • Provide ongoing actionable feedback and training to direct reports in order to ensure performance and development goals are achieved.
