Facebook rebrands Canvas with “Instant Experience.” Instant Experiences provides templates tailored to your needs that helps deliver your message based on your business objectives, such as “Instant Storefront” and “Instant Customer Acquisition.” And new pixel capabilities allow you to measure engagement and re-engage with customers. Flight Ads take off on Facebook. Formerly known as “Dynamic Ads for Travel”, Flights Ads allows airlines to target customers based on their visits to flight-related Facebook Pages, websites and apps, reaching more people who have expressed interest in travel. Flight Ads will require a flight catalog set up on Facebook. The feature is gradually rolling out globally. Learn more
Leads – gotta collect ’em all. Brands can collect leads using Brand Awareness, Reach and Traffic objectives which provide new ways to measure customer interest early and understand which channels brought in high intent customers. Do your campaigns impact brand perception? Facebook’s Test and Learn section now gives you the self-serve capabilities to easily set up and run brand lift studies. The study measures brand perception with three questions about standard ad recall, standard brand awareness, abstract favorability, familiarity, recommendation and action intent. The self-serve brand lift study requires a minimum ad spend to start. Learn more
Image ads arrive for in-stream video placements. Conversion campaigns using the “automatic placements” option will now have their image ad appear below video content on Facebook Watch and in-feed videos, and allow users to click through. Learn more
New brand safety controls are rolling out across placements. Advertisers will now be able to review the list of publishers monetizing content on Instant Articles, In-Stream video, and the Audience Network. These brand safety controls will help inform advertiser block lists and category exclusions. Publisher lists and delivery reports will be made available in the Business Manager. Learn more
Standard Events conversion tracking is expanding. Eight new app and pixel events can be tracked, including Find Location, Donate, Schedule and more. In addition, newly updated ad metrics help provide a more holistic view of how users are interacting with your business. By selecting only one metric, you can learn how a Cost per Purchase measures across all channels. Learn more
Did you know Facebook has an Ads Manager app? New creative tools have been added to the app to make it easier to build creative content right from your phone. The new tools include fully customizable ad templates, an image cropper and more. Learn more
WhatsApp Business API now available to more brands. Send messages to people who initiate a chat, create customized notifications and respond to questions or comments from customers. And, add click to WhatsApp Facebook ads to your campaigns to engage further with audiences. Learn more
